The iconic Blue Flag is one of the world's most recognized voluntary awards and is awarded to beaches, marinas, and sustainable tourism vessels. To qualify for a Blue Flag, a series of strict environmental, educational, safety, and accessibility criteria must be met and implemented in a sustainable manner.

One of the main objectives of the Blue Flag program is to encourage the public to connect with their environment and learn more about it. Therefore, in addition to providing permanent information areas on biodiversity, ecosystems, and environmental events, environmental education activities must also be offered and encouraged.
